To a certain extent Aquarians are seen as the exotics among the star signs. They enthusiastically make sure that their image cannot be pigeonholed. They don’t let themselves be pressed into any kind of plan and if they are forced to stick to standards and rules then it makes all the hairs on their head stand on end.
Aquarians are clear individualists. This also often results in them being regarded as egoists, but this would be doing them a great injustice, because Aquarians are in truth real philanthropists.
One of the Aquarian’s favourite future scenarios, which he likes to think up when things are quiet and he’s got time to reflect, which doesn’t happen very often, is of an earth in which humanity and equality are not simply ideas, but have already become reality. You could definitely say that the Aquarian is a real do-gooder.
In fact, his view is mainly directed at what’s going on in the future, because he sees this as being a lot more interesting than wasting a great deal of unnecessary energy on worrying about what went on in the past, which can’t be undone now anyway.
Aquarians are avant-gardists and trend-setters who already instinctively know today what is going on tomorrow and the day-after-tomorrow with their distinct antenna for future trends.
And if their, admittedly, often wacky ideas don't meet with the necessary understanding and are shrugged off as being irrational or simply too unworldly then they are understandably aggrieved. And because the Aquarian, despite his strongly compassionate nature, definitely has no intention of becoming a yes-man, he may well pick a quarrel with an innocent third party and confront them directly coercing them to disagree.
He’s therefore well-prepared for controversies, but will probably not let it get to the point that the whole thing escalates to the point of no return. After all, his love of community, which gives him so much security, usually prevents him in time.
And that’s why the Aquarian’s fundamentally strong group instinct is able to unfailingly keep him from loneliness and monotony. So, it's no wonder that he's got hundreds of phone numbers stored in his phone ranging from his best friend to all kinds of people he's only met once.
He prefers to be around people who give him as much space as he feels he needs and who don’t lay down any rules either, because he definitely doesn’t like feeling boxed in.
Due to this characteristic feature, it's no wonder that he’s sometimes on a collision course with people in authority or with others who keep wanting to tell him how to do things better or who want to encroach on his space – and this often lands him in problems.
He is, however, able to iron this all out with his humorous and communicative manner, which goes down very well with people from all walks of life from the local tramp right up to the Dalai Lama, because if it’s up to him hierarchical boundaries or class differences are just the result of narrow-minded thinking and definitely not needed in this day and age. Aquarians can, however, sometimes also get on other people's nerves due to their erratic behaviour.
Aquarians are ruled by Uranus and this means that they are always looking for change and have an inner restlessness, which they are again and again gripped by.
He’s not the most patient of star signs and unduly overburdens people around him with his ever-changing views and objectives. Things are definitely never boring with an Aquarian and that’s why he’s usually not plagued by mental disorders or depressive moods. He’s much too forward-turned for that and too curious about life and what tomorrow could bring.
